Professional Member Fees

Certification Entrance Fee (nonrefundable)


Exam Fee

$350 per part

Exam Fee if a candidate registers for both parts at

the same time for the same testing window

$300 per part

Transition Exam (offered through February 28, 2013)

$225 per part

*The Certification Entrance Fee covers:

  1. Credential review for educational qualification
  2. Credential review for experience qualification
  3. Six months access to the CMA Exam Support package which includes the CMA Assessment Tool and printable practice questions
  4. Final Score Report
  5. Performance feedback reports for candidates who do not pass
  6. Personalized, numbered certificate for office display
  7. Congratulatory notification to employer or others, if desired

Please note:

  1. Candidates must complete parts 1 and 2 of the CMA exam within three years of entry into the program
  1. Candidates also must register for an exam part within the first 12 months of entering the program
  1. Fees subject to change
  2. All fees are nonrefundable, subject to the refund policy
  3. To qualify for the Student/Academic discount, you must be an IMA Student/Academic member

Refund Policy

After 30 days from the date of registration, examination fees are not refundable. Within 30 days of the registration date, an examination fee may be refunded if no test appointment has been set. A $25 processing fee will be subtracted from the refund. Please note: If you purchase both parts 1 and 2 for the same testing window and received the $100 discount, you are required to take both exams in the same testing window. If you are unable to, and you request a refund of one part within 30 days of purchase, you will receive a refund of $225. After 30 days, there are no refunds. (Refund calculation: $600 paid, less $350 for the exam part you plan to take, less a$25 processing fee equals a refundable amount of $225.)
