An Introduction to Benchmarking

posted Apr 5, 2013, 3:07 PM by IMA Qatar Chapter   [ updated Jun 29, 2016, 2:51 AM ]

This seminar intends to demonstrate that Benchmarking is a positive, pro-active process which allows management to examine how another similar system and process performs a specific function in order to improve how it performs the same or similar function. Operational processes must be comparative or analogous if the highest degree of knowledge transfer between benchmarking partners is to be achieved

The seminar will further show how Benchmarking allows you to discover the gaps in your system and process performance when compared with someone else.
Particular focus will be given to the following:

·        Benchmarking theory

·        How to conduct a study

·        Data gathering

·        Analyzing and identifying best practices

·        Actioning the findings
