About the Speaker:
Professor David Emmanuel Gray, PhD
(Assistant Teaching Professor of Philosophy, Carnegie Mellon University of Qatar)
Professor Gray has taught ethical theory and applied ethics at Carnegie Mellon University in Qatar for the past five years. He holds bachelor's degrees in both Philosophy and Computer Science from the University of Montana, and a PhD in Logic, Computation, and Methodology from Carnegie Mellon University. His research focuses on foundational issues arising in the overlapping domains of ethics, economics, politics, and decision theory. In addition, he has conducted studies on the relationship between student engagement and academic performance in university classes.
