The speaker for this seminar will be Professor George White, who is an Associate Teaching Professor of Business Administration at Carnegie Mellon University in Qatar.

The phrase “innovate or die” is true now more than ever. The rate of social and technology innovation is speeding up, globally. All organizations must evolve to remain competitive in today’s flattened world. This seminar will discuss the reasons for change: disruptive technologies and “creative destruction”; the seminar will cover strategies for dealing with change: Blue Ocean Strategy and Lessons from the Innovator’s Dilemma; and it will discuss systems of governance and organizational issues to motivate and inspire positive change. In the wake of the Internet connected mobile phone revolution, all organizations must be socially conscious paying attention to everything from global warming, pollution to human rights. The seminar will cover the full range of topics culminating in a look at the social psychology of managing change.
