Abstract: It has been known for years that corporate
change leadership comes from individuals with a heightened emotional awareness
of people around them; and furthermore that innovation flowers in organizations
that establish an environment of trust. In
this talk we will describe recent findings from application of brain scanning
techniques on individuals at the light-bulb moment of intellectual discovery;
we will also describe work environments that promote trust and creativity. We
will show how work environments that promote security, trust and optimism
produce greater productivity.
About The Speaker
Prof. George M.
Ph.D. is Director of Speech Technology at General Magic, Inc. He plays a
central role in defining the Voice User Interface for General Magic's services
which provide telephony automated assistance as well as telephony access to
Internet Web page content. Dr. White
studied computer science at Stanford University. After leaving Stanford in 1970, he joined the
Xerox PARC research Center. He
subsequently worked with Apple Computer where he helped create and manage the
Apple-ISS Research Center in Singapore.
After that he was Director of the Industrial Affiliates Program of the
Center for the Study of Language and Information at Stanford University. After that he was founder and CEO of NETalk,
Inc. which was acquired by General Magic.
